Sharing

We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers solely to operate Playvent.

SMS Messaging & Consent

How We Obtain Consent

You provide express consent to receive SMS messages from Playvent through:

• Initiating Conversation: Sending any SMS to our number (e.g., "CREATE event", "HELP", or any question). This constitutes your express consent to receive SMS communications.
• Web Form: Entering your phone number on playvent.app during signup, account creation, or event RSVP. You must check consent boxes acknowledging SMS communications and AI usage.
• Event Invitations: When you receive an invitation to an event, the first message includes instructions to reply YES to receive additional event-related messages (updates, reminders, etc.). This explicit opt-in is required for ongoing communications.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

AI-Powered Service: Playvent uses artificial intelligence technology to provide conversational SMS assistance for event planning.

What AI Does:

• Understands your natural language text messages
• Generates conversational responses to your questions
• Assists with event creation, guest management, and planning
• Provides venue recommendations and suggestions

AI Disclosure: Upon your first interaction with Playvent via SMS, you receive a welcome message clearly stating that you are communicating with an AI assistant. We distinguish between AI-generated conversational responses and automated transactional notifications.

AI Limitations: While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors or misunderstandings. Important event details (dates, locations, guest lists) are always verified against our database, not AI memory.

Types of Messages

You will receive the following types of SMS messages:

• AI Conversational Responses: AI-generated replies to your questions and commands (e.g., event creation, guest management, planning advice)
• Event Invitations: Notifications when someone invites you to an event
• RSVP Confirmations: Automated confirmations when you respond to an invitation
• Event Updates & Reminders: Automated notifications about event changes and upcoming events
• Personal Reminders: Reminders you create via text or the web app
• Venue Suggestions: AI-powered recommendations for event locations

Message frequency varies based on your event activity, questions you ask, and your preferences. We send only messages necessary for the service or that you explicitly request.

Message Content

SMS messages may include:

• Embedded Links: URLs to event pages (playvent.app/e/...), RSVP forms, venue information, our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy. All links are legitimate and relate directly to your events or service usage.
• Phone Numbers: Contact information including our support line (+1 720-77-EVENT), event organizer contact details (if shared), and venue phone numbers for recommendations.

Data Processing & Third Parties

Your SMS messages and related data are processed by the following services:

• SMS Delivery Platform: Message delivery, phone numbers, delivery receipts
• AI Processing Service: Message content analysis for understanding and generating responses
• Playvent: Event management, user data, RSVP tracking

Data Sharing: We do NOT sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share data only with the service providers above, solely to operate Playvent.

Consent is Optional

Your consent to receive SMS messages is not required to use Playvent or make any purchase. SMS messaging is an optional feature that enhances your event planning experience. You can use Playvent's web interface without providing a phone number.

Opt-Out & User Rights

Opt-Out: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any message (immediate unsubscribe)
• Contacting support@playvent.app
• Managing preferences in your account settings on playvent.app

Reply HELP to any message for assistance or more information about the SMS service.

SMS Fees

Standard message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier's plan. Playvent does not charge fees for SMS messages, but your carrier may. Msg & data rates may apply.

Consent Records

We maintain detailed records of your consent, including:

• Timestamp of opt-in
• Method of consent (SMS initiation, web form, or invitation acceptance)
• IP address (for web-based opt-ins)
• Message ID (for SMS-based opt-ins)
• Opt-out date and method (if applicable)

These records are kept for compliance purposes and to honor your communication preferences.

Data Retention

We keep RSVP and messaging records as required to operate the service and comply with law, then delete or de‑identify them.
